Savage Boys and Girls Club - Town Hall Meeting 3/30

This announcement is to let everyone in the Savage Boys and Girls Club Family know that we will be holding a Town Hall meeting at 7pm on the 30th of March 2009 at Carroll Baldwin Hall in Savage for the purpose of soliciting volunteers to fill several board vacancies that we currently have or will have in short order.

Savage Boys and Girls Club has been in existence for over 40 years through the spirit and generosity of our community and the dedication of moms and dads just like you. Personally I became involved in Savage when my son was five years old and the program needed a coach. My son is now twenty and it has come time to allow this wonderful opportunity to work with these great parents and children to be passed to the next set of hands. As a club we offer a wonderful community that teaches leadership and values to all of our children and this is something worth continuing.

Please plan to attend our Town Hall meeting on March 30 @ 7pm and volunteer your time and efforts to keep the Savage Boys and Girls Club running at the excellent level it has for these past four decades.

The positions we need volunteers to fill are: President, Vice-President, Treasurer as well as at least two board positions. Although this may sound like a few positions to fill, please know that we have volunteers on board that are continuing in their positions: The baseball commissioner, softball commissioner, soccer commissioner, flag football commissioner, basketball commissioner and more coaches and league directors than you can possibly think an organization could have. These are experienced and fun people who know what they are doing and you see the results with each sport. We turn out a very nice product. So please plan to attend the meeting and to step up on March 30th at 7pm at Baldwin Hall, we need to have you on our team. If you have any questions contact me at president@SavageBGC.org.

I will see you at Baldwin Hall, Tom Lawler, President- Savage Boys and Girls Club, Inc.
