Vehicle Strikes Tree – Driver Dies
The Traffic Enforcement Section is investigating a single vehicle Collision that occurred on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at approximately 8:16 PM. Preliminary investigation reveals the driver of a Hyundai Santa Fe was traveling west on Gorman Road in the vicinity of Horsham Drive. The vehicle left the Roadway and struck a tree adjacent to the right side of the Roadway. The Driver and single occupant of the vehicle was found in Cardiac Arrest and was subsequently transported by Paramedics to the Howard County General Hospital where further attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.

The driver has been identified as Richard Allen Comstock – 60 years of age- of the 9600 Blk. of Hadleigh Court Laurel, MD

Traffic Investigators are looking into the possibility that a medical condition may have contributed to the collision and subsequent death of the Driver.

The collision is being investigated by Pfc. Jay Weber of the Traffic Enforcement Section.

Those of us who live in Hadleigh Court, will miss Richard greatly. May he rest in peace.
