County Executive Ulman Joins Volunteers to
Break Ground on the New Savage Fire Station 6
ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Howard County Executive Ken Ulman will join Fire Chief William Goddard III and members of the Savage Volunteer Fire Company for the groundbreaking of the new Savage Volunteer Fire Station. The new location will provide quick and easy access to Route 1 and 32, as well as providing equal access to communities to the north, south, east and west of the station. When complete, the two-story structure will house several apparatus bays, individual sleeping quarters, a physical fitness training room, kitchen, dining room, general use room, administrative offices and a training/community room. Construction will begin in November and the station is expected to open in late fall of 2011.
