....LEAVE YOUR PURSE UNATTENDED IN SHOPPING CARTS OR IN YOUR CARS
....DISPLAY YOUR WRAPPED GIFTS, BY PUTTING THEM UNDER THE TREE, WITH IT DISPLAYED IN A WINDOW
....LEAVE GIFTS IN TRUNKS OF VEHICLES PARKED ON PADS OR ROADWAYS
....ADVERTISE THAT YOU WILL BE OUT OF TOWN, BY TALKING OUT IN THE PUBLIC TO FRIENDS PROVIDING TOO MUCH DETAIL..I.E..."We are going out of town for two weeks"! You never know who is listening.

... SHOP WITH A FRIEND
....CARRY CREDIT CARD & ID IN POCKET INSTEAD OF A LARGE PURSE OR A SMALL PURSE THAT YOU CAN PUT ACROSS YOUR BODY.
....PAY ATTENTION WHEN YOUR CREDIT CARD IS BEING SWIPED
....PARK IN A WELL LIT AREA THAT IS CLOSE TO THE STORE (IF YOU MUST GO OUT AT NIGHT)
....REPORT ANY AND ALL SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY TO POLICE
....CLOSE YOUR GARAGE DOORS, SECURE YOUR HOME AND PROPERTY
....USE ALARMS, TURN ON OUTSIDE LIGHTS
....LOOK OUT FOR YOUR NEIGHBORS
Carry a whistle...if it looks funny and you think you OR SOMEONE ELSE may be in trouble...blow the whistle to draw attention!!!! Remember the criminals are out shopping at our expense, right along with us. Most of the crimes are crimes of opportunity, don't give them the opportunity...DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING IN YOUR CARS AND SECURE ALL OF YOUR PROPERTY..CARS, HOMES ETC... Be vigilant, look around and be prepared to get in the car with your keys out...do not wait until you get to the car to fish for your keys. Lastly, don't "click" the remote to open the door, but once...you only want to unlock the drivers side door...no others, unless you are traveling with passengers.
