There is another side to the Zipline Expansion Story. Local residents do not wish to lose the unique beauty of the Savage Rapids trail--public parkland--to a commercial establishment. Residents have a right to enjoy the river and trail for fishing, birding, hiking, photography, etc. without folks screaming on a thrill ride overhead. There are already several other zipline attractions close by. If people truly want to learn about the environment and eco-systems they should do it up close and personal--by walking or biking on the trail--not by zooming overhead 50 feet in the air at 20 miles per hour. If you want to preserve the park for the people show your opposition at the public hearing 11/17 at 7:30pm at Parks & Rec headquarters.
