Howard County Police Youth Academy

Young people who have ever considered a career in law enforcement may be interested in participating in The Howard County Police Youth Academy. This a free one-week overnight program held July 12th – 17th at the James N. Robey Police and Fire Training Facility in Marriotsville, Maryland. The program is designed to help young people explore career and leadership opportunities, life skills and character education.

The program is open to Howard County residents between 15 years and 18 years old. Applicants must have at least a 2.0 grade point average, must provide letter of recommendation from a faculty member at school, must pass a thorough background examination and have had no adverse police contact.
